Added data links: The link in the Model Number column will access an individual engine data sheet for that particular model; the link in the Cylinders, Injection System, & Aspiration column can be used to access an individual engine drawing, and the link in the Displacement column can be used to to access an engine photo. You will need ADOBE Acrobat to read the PDF data sheets and PDF engine drawings. A full color PDF brochure with all of the NEF engines can be downloaded from NEF Engine Family brochure . [Warning: This brochure is a large pdf file - about 4 MB].
Iveco History. The Iveco concern was formed in November 1974 as a result of the Klockner-Humboldt-Deutz (KHD) agreement to transfer its branch of Magirus-Deutz to FIAT. The structure of IVECO includes Magirus-Deutz, FIAT, as well as Italian and foreign FIAT units such as OM, Lancia, French FIAT. Abbreviations: D.I. = Direct injection, with mechanical governor; C.R. = Common rail injection, with total electronic control via Iveco's CAN Bus interface; NA = Naturally aspirated, TC = Turbocharged, TAA = Turbocharged & aftercooled. Turbos are wastegate controlled.
Memo: The table above details gross continuous and net continuous engine horsepower at various rpms. To calculate kW, multiply the horsepower value by 0.746. [engine ratings in kW are common outside the US]. All 4.5 liter engines can be ordered with or without an internal balancer. The small photo to the right shows a six cylinder NEF N60 ENT engine with a fully electronic common rail diesel injection system.
Notes:(1) The N67 NMA engine is not stocked in the US, but is available for other markets; it has maximum ratings of 109 gross hp and 101 continuous hp at 2500 rpm. (2) High output gen drive model available for speeds of 1500 and 1800 rpm only.

Iveco Engine Manuals
CURSOR six cylinder diesel engines are offered in three sizes, and each industrial model is available in three different power ratings. EPA Tier II certified versions of the 7.8 liter CURSOR 8 are available now. EPA certified versions of the 10.3 liter CURSOR 10 and 12.9 liter CURSOR 13 are scheduled to be available in December 2004. CURSOR engines use stabilized monolithic cast iron block and sub-block assemblies with wet cylinder liners, cast iron cylinder heads, roller rocker arms, a single overhead camshaft with seven supports, and feature four valves per cylinder, variable geometry turbochargers, and EUI pumping injectors with total electronic control. This gradual, progressive 'electronic unit injection' control system -- which features Iveco's CAN Bus interface -- avoids typical 'diesel knock' and reduces engine wear and noise.
